Hello,

i want to control the Error-Counter( gmt(2).mib-2(1).interfaces(2).ifTable(2).ifEntry(1).ifInErrors(14))

from Catalyst 6509 and Catalyst 4506 in the NMS.

But when i clear the counter in the CLI,

the mib variable doesn't reset?

Why? What can i do?

Regards

Andreas

Only way to clear an SNMP counter is to reload the box.

Check out the last line in the SNMP counter FAQ:

"In addition, SNMP counters are never cleared, even if the interfaces are cleared."
