Dear all,
Probably a wrong understanding or something stupid, but I can' find a decent answer.
On a lot of our C2950, C3560 and C3750I find following strange thing when doing a show interface x/x:
The last input is NEVER, although I see many packets in, 5 minute input rate is not 0 and counters have never been cleared.
I also see a mac-address when I do a show mac-adress-table interface x/x
Any idea what the reason is for this behaviour, our what the meaning is of "LAST INPUT" ?

Hi
Itz a normal behaviour on the ethernet interface, its the Number of hours, minutes, and seconds since the last packet was successfully received by an interface and processed locally on the router. Useful for knowing when a dead interface failed. This counter is updated only when packets are process-switched, not when packets are fast-switched.
