Re-initilize DFM databases?

OLOF SAMUELSSON

None of the DFM databases exists on one of my CW LMS 2.5.1 servers anymore (there is not even any ODBC DSN setup anymore, unlike on another LMS server I've got).

How can I reinitialize (only!) the DFM databases, including the ODBC DSNs?

TIA!

Stop the daemons

cd CSCOpx\bin

perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmEpm dmprefix=EPM

perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmInv dmprefix=INV

perl dbRestoreOrig.pl dsn=dfmFh dmprefix=FH

restart the daemons

Thanks! Sadly it does not seem to help, from the dbRestoreOrig.pl I immediately get the output:

'dfmEPM' is not a valid data source for the product.

My theory is that it's due to that the ODBC definitions has disappeared... I need to recreate them and then I suspect the commands above would work. So .. how to create the ODBC DSNs?

Are the .db files no longer found in NMSROOT/databases/dfm? How about in the orig directory under here?

The database files were gone, the orig directory is still there.

I forgot to mention that this is on Windows, I guess that it could be relevant...

Hi Olof,

maybe the reinstall of only the DFM portion may solve your problem!

I have done this at a costumer with RME and ths solved my problem there!

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

Frank

Thanks! Yup, that would probably help .. I will try the reinstall as a final resort..

BR,

Olof
