Redundant switches do not show the end hosts

If the switches (WS-C2950G-48) are redundant connected through two distribution switches (WS-C4503) then there is no info from the end hosts. In case the switch is not redundant, then the host ip can be shown in Campusmanager 4.05.

Thanks in advance,

Aryan

Re: Redundant switches do not show the end hosts

No, the hosts mac addresses appear in usertracking as soon as the switch where they connect becomes manageble for ciscoworks.

A match between the hosts mac address and its IP address gets made as soon as the hosts default gateway becomes manageble for ciscoworks.

Becomes manageble for ciscoworks and a UT acquisition has run of course

Cheers,

Michel

Re: Redundant switches do not show the end hosts

But in my case the end hosts will not appear in the UT, if these end hosts are attached to the switches, which are connected redundantly!?
