If I wanted restrict the SNMP view for a deivce such that it would only query the CISCO-CDP-MIB, would the following be sufficient?

snmp-server view CDP-Only-View ciscoCdpMIB included

Also, would this be sufficient enough for Ciscoworks to perform a discovery through if the device with the restricted view was a seed device?

1. you are on the good track. Also call the view for the particular community string: snmp-server community X view CDP-Only-View

As per doc:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/netmgmt/configuration/guide/nm_cfg_snmp_sup_ps6350_TSD_Products_Configuration_Guide_Chapter.html#wp1026473

2. You need at list the sysobjectid for LMS, I doubt CDP mib is sufficient.

Why dont you use the packet capture utility in LMS and run a packet capture to see all the mibs that it's querying for a discovery of 1 device?

Had success including the CDP mib and mib2.
