RICS0001:Internal Error,unable to process the collected data from the devic

Running Ciscoworks LMS 2.6 on a Win2003 box. Recently. I've noticed an increase in the number of device on periodic inventory collections with this error message:

RICS0001:Internal Error,unable to process the collected data from the device.

Is there a way to fix a record that has this problem without deleting it and then having to re-discover?

There is a bug that has a patch that may fix this problem. However, you need to provide the IC_Server.log to see if you are hitting this bug.

Thanks. I also opened a TAC case for this so I'll send it through there.

I've encountered the same problem. Contacted TAC and was sent a patch. It worked on the particular device that the error showed up in the inventory. However, more devices have the same error now so the patch was not effective in solving the error comletely.
