RME 4.0.3: Backup syslog.log to user directory

Hello,

I use RME 4.0.3 on Windows 2003 and I want the RME syslog.log file to be backed up to C:\LMSbck\logs. I added 'casuser' and 'casusers' with Full control to that directory. But when I want to change the backup directory via 'RME > Admin > Syslog > Backup Policy', I always have permission denied.

Is this a filesystem security problem or a Java applet permiision problem or what?

Thank's for any help,

Francis

Re: RME 4.0.3: Backup syslog.log to user directory

RME doesn't allow to use non-default location via GUI so if you want to access to a new folder you should add it to the file

AllowedFolders.properties.

Please make sure that casuser has access to the new dir and try adding the path to the AllowedFolders.properties.
