RME - Unable to create new version on archive $1

I am getting the following error message on some devices when trying to sync the archive:

"Telnet CM0060 PRIMARY STARTUP Config fetch SUCCESS for SHO-B75, version number 1 archived. CM0061 PRIMARY RUNNING Config fetch SUCCESS for SHO-B75, no change in configuration.CM0057 VLAN RUNNING Config fetch SUCCESS, archival failed for SHO-B75 Cause: CM0012: Unable to create new version on archive $1 Action: Check if disk space is available and directory has required permissions Action: Verify that archive exists for device"

It looks like the database may have been corrupted as everything would work fine if I delete the device and re-added it again. Is there a way to repair the database?

Thank you

Hi I've got an simular problem.

When we are fetsching the VLAN.DAT file it returns the error:

CM0012: Unable to create new version on archive S1 Action: Check if disk space is availeble and directory has required permissions.

Startup config and running config works fine.

Does anyone have a clue?

It looks like the database may be fine, but there was some individual device/job corruption here.

If this happens for another device you may want to collect debugs by this method:

From RME -> Administration -> Config Mgmt:

Make sure you have the following protocol order for Archive Mgmt: TFTP, Telnet, ...

Set up the SNMP Timeouts to 15 seconds by going to:

RME > Admin > System Preferences > RME Device Attributes

After the above is set and credentials verification reports ok please do the following:

1. Enable log level to debug:

In CiscoWorks interface, navigate to RME --> Administration --> System Preferences --> Loglevel Settings

Set the following values:

Application: ArchiveMgmt

Archive Service: DEBUG

Archive Client: DEBUG

Click on Apply.

2. Go to RME --> Config Mgmt --> Archive Mgmt --> Sync Archive, selecting the device in question. Take note of the Job ID.

3. Wait until the job finishes (or fails).

4. Collect the following information:

All job log files in:

/var/admin/CSCOpx/rme/jobs/ArchiveMgmt//

/var/adm/CSCOpx/log/dcmaservice.log

/var/adm/CSCOpx/log/dcmaclient.log

5. Reset the ArchiveMgmt to the default logging level (Info).

you can then send these logs to TAC for analysis
