Save, rollback configuration tool

Hi folks,

What do you use or suggest if I want to save running-config on my Cisco routers and switches? My intention is to save current and past configurations and allow me to rollback, restore, etc changes in case of crashes or issues.

is CiscoWorks the right tool for this?

Re: Save, rollback configuration tool

Yes, CiscoWorks LMS can do this quite well for a wide variety of Cisco devices. You can try out a 90-day eval to see if you like its interface and functionality at http://www.cisco.com/go/lms/ .

IOS also has a built-in config archive function which allows you to periodically save configuration snapshots, show configuration diffs, and rollback to past configurations. More information is available from http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/12_3t/12_3t7/feature/guide/gtrollbk.html .
