Serial Numbers 2950T and 2950c

For some reason CiscoWorks can't pick up the serial numbers for these device types.

Is this a proble with the device itself or something to do with LMS?

Does anyone know of this issue?

This is most likely CSCsc31440 which is fixed in RME 4.0.6 and 4.1. After upgrading to one of those releases, a new inventory collection would need to be performed. Note: depending on the IOS version, the serial number may need to be manually configured on the device using the command:

snmp-server chassis-id SERIAL_NO
