Set a Default Telnet User for new discovered devices ?
i work with LMS2.5 on Solaris. I use CampusManager 4.0.2 for the Discovery and automatically add the discovered devices to the RME 4.0.2. Unfortunatly i must add for every new device the telnet and enable user and passwort by hand. Is there any possibility to add by default the same telnet / enbale username and password for every new discovered device ?
Re: Set a Default Telnet User for new discovered devices ?
I dont think one can accomplish this natively with CW/RME. I believe one could script it rather trivially using your script language of choice.
IIRC, RME will accept a flat file with any or all of a device's attributes as an importable item. So, grab the newly discovered devices from an ANI report, script in the desired additional attributes, and then import into RME.
