SNMP polling of CPU Interface on Catalyst 1900s

Is there/can there be any value to performance data (e.g. ifOutErrors) for the CPU Interface on Catalyst 1900 switches? And of what what value does Availability of the CPU Interface provide?

I have found that the Cisco SNMP Agent does not return data for performance metrics on IOS V9.00.03. For example, ifOutErrors data is not returned for 1900s running IOS V9.00.03 but ifOutErrors data is returned for previous IOS version(e.g. V9.00.00 or V8.01.02).

Thanks for any information as I am trying to determine whether we should ignore/filter all availability and performance stats for the CPU Interfaces on our 1900s.

The CPU virtual interface only supports objects ifIndex through ifLastChange. All other objects are not populated. This was formalized as part of CSCdp09675 which was implemented in 9.00.01.

Therefore, you should ignore this interface when doing performance analysis.

Thanks very much for clarifying, Joe.
