Question abour snmp trap in a MPLS config.

In my MPLS router i've define :

snmp-server host w.x.y.z vrf TEST private

vrf TEST is defined on the router but no interface configured with it.

What is strange :

When i hit ping vrf TEST w.x.y.z i've no response, but when a trap is sent by the router, w.x.y.z receive the trap ????

I dont 't understand why it works ?

If you want to ping the host alone just use ping w.x.y.z rather than using using the command ping vrf TEST w.x.y.z.This will work

and you would get replies.

Yes, this ping works but my question is why snmp request works in vrf TEST and why ping doesn't work in vrf TEST (me be because snmp use UDP and ping TCP ?)
