This is my first post so I hope I'm in the correct forum. I'm having a problem getting SNMP v3 communicating between the CWNCM and all of our network switches. I have no problems getting WUG to communicate and I also get communication when i use snmpget and snmpwalk.
My switch config is:
snmp-server group V3view v3 auth read V3read write V3write
snmp-server user V3user V3view v3 auth sha V3Pass priv des V3Pass
snmp-server view V3read iso included
snmp-server view V3write iso included
snmp-server view V3read system included
snmp-server view V3write system included
snmp-server host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx version 3 auth V3user
snmp-server host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx version 3 auth V3user
snmp-server enable traps
The only way to establish communication is by adding an snmp community string. I have recently upgraded the CWNCM to ver 1.8.2
Any help is greatly appreciated.
