Hi all,

I have this configuration:

snmp-server group RTR-group v3 priv notify *tv.FFFFFFFF.FFFFFFFF.FFFFFFFF.FFFFFFFF0F

snmp-server ifindex persist

snmp-server trap-source Loopback2

snmp-server source-interface informs Loopback2

snmp-server packetsize 4096

snmp-server trap-timeout 120

snmp-server queue-length 30

snmp-server system-shutdown

snmp-server enable traps snmp authentication linkdown linkup coldstart warmstart

snmp-server enable traps envmon

snmp-server enable traps bgp

snmp-server enable traps config

snmp-server enable traps entity

snmp-server host x.x.x.x version 3 priv n@c-try

(obviously i have defined the user n@c-try with the correct md5/des key).

if I do an snmp walk towards my routers From the management station all works fine; but if my router sends a trap (v3) to the management station..i see anything arriving...If i send the trap as v1/v2 there are no problem!

Have someone any idea?

Thanks in advance

Gianluca

It's possibly due to a bug or if you are using cw2k then it dosen't support SNMP v3
