Yes, you can download the mega-patch installer from Cisco.com. It requires LMS 2.5.1.

It lookas as though you've checked the "Use SSH for software image upgrade and software image import through CLI." checkbox. If you do not have SSH configured on your devices, uncheck this, and SWIM will use telnet for any CLI access it needs.

You must be able to login to the Cisco.com Software Center using your Cisco.com credentials. If you are using a proxy, be sure to configure that in CiscoWorks with correct proxy credentials (if required). Note: we only support Basic proxies. Proxies that use NTLM authentication will not work with CiscoWorks.

You must first grant casuser access to execute C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe. After that, if you are running Windows 2003 SP 1, you must upgrade to LMS 2.6.

Hi clarke,,,,
Is it free to upgrade LMS 2.5 to 2.6??
10-30-2006 10:58 PM
Yes, you can download the mega-patch installer from Cisco.com. It requires LMS 2.5.1.
10-31-2006 07:33 AM
Where do I get this "mega-patch installer"?
Did you mean yes "IF" you have a CURRENT service contract?
10-31-2006 07:36 AM
2.6 mega-patch is located here:

Thank You davistan, that worked. However I'm unclear as to if this is a "free" upgrade for LMS 2.5/2.5.1 users.
Our SAS expired a few months ago and I don't want to get socked with an astronimical upgrade fee for blatenly clicking "Accept" on the License Agreement download page. Please clarify.

Hi,
If you have access to this link they should be able to get this for free. This is like downloading a service pack or IDU for LMS. Its not like ordering a product through the upgrade tool where you have to enter your SAS contract #. If your CCO allows you to get there then you can download it and install it. You won't get charged with a fee.
