Stopping CiscoWorks from Performing SNMP Get-Requests

Does anyone know how to stop CiscoWorks from performing SNMP Polls such as get-requests for a range of addresses/devices

You can add these devices to the DCR excluded devices list. Go to Common Services > Device and Credentials > Device Management, and click the Exclude button. Add the devices that should not be managed to this list.

LMS applications will only poll devices which are in DCR, or which fall into your discovery ranges. So once you exclude devices, check your discovery ranges to make sure those subnets are not included (or are explicitly excluded).

Joe,

I don't have the menu options you described. The choices I have in my top-tier menu are:

Server Configuration

Resource Manager Essentials

Device Fault Manager

Campus Manager

VPN/Security Management Solution

Management Connection

Device Manager

You have a very old version of LMS which is scheduled to go end of support at the end of this month.

You can create discovery filters under Server Configuration > Setup > ANI Server Admin > Discovery Settings.
