Hi,

In the Release Notes fot Cisco Works Common Services 3.0 there is a table that shows the supported server time zone, but I can't find the Brazil Time Zone GMT -3:00.

Is there any way to add a new Time Zone in CiscoWorks 3.0.5 ?

I need that cause I have a lot of routers in differente time zones.

Thanks in Advanced,

Andre Lomonaco

Typically, when customers have a lot of routers in different timezones, they standardize on UTC. However, if you cannot do this, and the specific timezone you want is not supported, you can simply have the device advertise their offset from UTC. So, if the devices send syslog messages with a timestamp of GMT-3, that should be fine. By the way, what is the abbreviation for your timezone?

Hi Joe Clarke,

Thank for your reply

Here in Brazil we have 4 timezones

EBST (GMT-3) Brazil (East, including all coast and Brasilia)

NORO (GMT-2) Brazil (Fernando De Noronha)

WBST (GMT-4) Brazil (West)

ACRE (GMT-5) Brazil (Trinity of Acre)

Some have DST, some not. If you need that information I will check for you...

My region uses EBST (GMT-3)

Thanks a Lot Again,

Andre Lomonaco

If these are the timezones the devices are advertising in their syslog messages, you can edit NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/classes/com/cisco/nm/rmeng/fcss/data/TimeZone.lst, and add your TZ entries. For example, for EBST, add the following:

EBST=-30

Then restart dmgtd.

Hi Joe Clarke,

I couldn?t find thisfile

NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/webapps/rme/WEB-INF/classes/com/cisco/nm/rmeng/fcss/data/TimeZone.lst

I?m using CiscoWorks 3.0.5

Can you help me locate this file ?

I need to install something beside the

typical installation ?

Thanks in advanced

On Solaris NMSROOT would be /opt/CSCOpx by default

On Windows its normally c:\Program Files\CSCOpx
