%SYS-3-IMAGE_TOO_BIG with 2621XM

Hi,

I've got the error : %SYS-3-IMAGE_TOO_BIG: 'flash:c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.123-14.T7.bin' is too large for available memory.

Here was the show flash output :

System flash directory:

File Length Name/status

1 29258164 c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.123-14.T7.bin

[29258228 bytes used, 3771912 available, 33030140 total]

32768K bytes of processor board System flash (Read/Write)

i've used another IOS for test, which size is 26825 KB , and there's no error.I need to use the c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.123-14.T7.bin

I've changed the flash memory (48M) with the c2600-adventerprisek9-mz.123-14.T7.bin, i still have the same problem.

Could anyone help me resolve the issue ?

You may want to read up on this note:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/iosswrel/ps1834/products_tech_note09186a00800fb9d9.shtml

"For Cisco 3600 and 2600 routers, the number of interfaces also influences the amount of memory necessary. Use the 2600/3600/3700 Memory Calculator ( registered customers only) to verify the requirements. Note that the tool and the release notes provide minimum requirements for normal utilization of the router. If you plan to have, for example, large routing tables on your router, consider installing additional memory."

Hi,

Thanks for your response.

The router has 128MB of RAM and 32MB of flash.I've even used 256MB of RAM but i still have the same problem.

What would you suggest to do?
