Syslog message for configuration mode -

On IOS, the severity 5 %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: gets logged to the device and if RME is set to listen to sylog messages, it knows there has been a change and to update the config. How does it work on CatOS set based switches? Is there a syslog messages that occurs?

I forgot to mention that the device is configured to send syslog messages to a syslog server.

For CatOS the message is %SYS-6-CFG_CHG

Thank you.

Here's a problem I see though:

The default logging level for CatOS is 4 or Warnings - set logging server severity 4

This means that CatOS devices set at the default logging level won't send a syslog message that the configuration has changed....
