Syslog Messages

Hello everyone,

I am trying to reduce the amount of syslog messages. Can anyone tell me the lowest level of notifications I can set that will give me an alert if an Interface goes down?

If you mean LINK-3-UPDOWN, it's "error".

Then, depending on at which venue exactly you want to "reduce the amount of syslog messages", configure one or more of the following:

logging console error

logging buffered #### error

logging trap error

logging monitor error
