Syslog problems in LMS 2.5 (win32)

My syslog report jobs (24 hours) show no records even though the syslog.log file is over 4GB in size and growing. Syslog purge jobs are also failing.

Can someone please help me get this working again?

Is this really LMS 2.5? If so, this software is going on four years old, and you really need to upgrade. i recommend going all the way to LMS 2.6 SP1 before continuing to troubleshoot. Many bugs pertaining the syslog collection and analysis have been fixed in this version.

You need to move to LMS 2.5.1, then to 2.6, then you can download updates to LMS 2.6 SP1 from Common Services > Software Center > Software Update. LMS 2.5.1 can be downloaded from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/lms25 , and LMS 2.6 from http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/tablebuild.pl/lms26 .

Thanks very much for yoru suggestion. I am actually running 2.5.1 and I have 2.6 sitting in a box here (that I just remembered about), so I think I will do as you say when I get a chance.

Do you know if/how I can move my LMS installation from drive C: to drive D: before I upgrade to to 2.6?

This is not possible. You will have to uninstall LMS, then reinstall it on the new drive.

So if I uninstall 2.5.1 can I install 2.6 from the "Maintenance Kit" CDs I have? Also, can I migrate the 2.5.1 data to the 2.6 install?
