Syslog Question

I have AS5400 which is sending syslog messages to Kiwi syslog server. I want to setup access server to send message as critical to the syslog server when my T3 controller goes down so I can receive alerts.

I am getting it as notification right now. How can this be done ?

Its not possible to change the severity of the syslog message on the device as this is part of IOS.

However, if your application allows you can configure it so that when a message arrives it can be treated as a severe messages. CiscoWorks uses something called automated actions for this.

Or just use syslog-ng and rewrite and forward your syslog messages accordingly
