Syslog Traps

If we set the authentication failures to create a log entry, is there a way to only allow those log messages to be sent via the “snmp-server enable traps syslog” command?

We really don't want traps sent for all syslog messages.

Please suggest !

Re: Syslog Traps

This is not possible. Any syslog message which matches the logging trap severity will be sent as a trap. You can use the Embedded Syslog Manager feature in certain versions of IOS to filter syslog messages, but this does not work for traps.
