TACACS on Cisco Router

I had a TACACS server that died and I reloaded on a new server. I am trying to access a router that was pointed at the old server but it keeps telling authentication failed because I have not been able to access the router to change the server IP. Is there any way I can access the console port without having a TACACS server running?

In your case, your config snippet to be pushed to the device would probably need to contain:

no aaa new-model

end
