Trouble identifying AIM slots in the Entity MIB

Hi there. New to the forum and all that. I have been perusing the content of the Entity MIB (RFC2737) obtained from a few 2611 routers we have in our lab here, and have found that the entParentRelPos values for the AIM slots conflict with similar values for C2600 daughtercard slots. Am I looking in the wrong location for slot numbers? Am I interpreting the numbers incorrectly? Any help would be appreciated since I am obviously somewhat new to all this.

Cheers,

Ron

Re: Trouble identifying AIM slots in the Entity MIB

In addition to entPhysicalParentRelPos you also need to look at other objects in the entPhysicalTable give more info on values returned and how cards are tied together.

Objects you might want to look at include:

entPhysicalIndex

entPhysicalDescr

entPhysicalContainedIn

entPhysicalClass
