Installed SDM 2.3.1 on a PC and I'm able to connect to the router from it using SDM Launcher but I would like to install it onto the router so I can access the interface from a Mac. Since the GUI setup doesn't work, can I somehow manualy install SDM onto the router via TFTP?
I've figured out how to manually install SDM onto the flash. All you have to do is copy sdm.tar and common.tar to the router's flash. After you do that, when you connect to the router via HTTP or HTTPS, it'll give display the option to run SDM. Strangely though, when SDM loads, it displays version 2.1 even though I copied the files from the 2.3.1 package. When I run it from a PC, it displays the version number correctly.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
