Upgrade flash card 3550?

Ciscoworks recommends I upgrade one of the flashcards on my 3550 switches before an IOS upgrade can happen. I don't find anthing on this site regarding upgrading the flash memory on the 3550. My config shows this is onboard memory so I assume I do not have the option to upgrade. Can someone confirm this?

If you have a PCMCIA slot you can still install a new flash on to the device. What is the firmware running on the 3550 switches? Is this a new installation.
