Upgrade steps from LMS 2.5 to 2.5.1

Going to do a clean install of LMS 2.5 on a windows 2003 box. In order to update LMS 2.5 to the latest version, will applying the december 2005 patch cover that or do I need to apply other patches before the December patch?

You may go directly from LMS 2.5 without any Service Packs to LMS 2.5.1 (December 2005 updates).

Re: Upgrade steps from LMS 2.5 to 2.5.1

You may go directly to LMS 2.5.1 and you may have a working system.

I had some trouble with dec2005updates on different systems.

Before installing the update I would stop all processes manually (net stop crmdmgtd or /etc/init.d/dmgtd stop) and on windows tftp, syslog and rcp services as well. I think there were problems that the SP install prcocess could not access some files.

Re: Upgrade steps from LMS 2.5 to 2.5.1

I tried to perform the update from 2.5 to 2.5.1 on a Windows 2003 server and it fails at 47% each time.

It gives the error message

"An error occurred during the move data process: -105"

Component: pm

Can anyone help?

Re: Upgrade steps from LMS 2.5 to 2.5.1

I was having error "move data process: -105".

I found the fix to this is as follows:-

- Set Daemon Manager to Manual Startup in Control Panel->Admin Tools->Services, then reboot the server.

- Install\Upgrade version 2.5.1 and this should work ok.

- After a successful installation and reboot, chnage the Daemon manager service to Automtic in Control Panel->Admin Tools->Services.

- Reboot the server again and you should be fine. It worked for me
