Upgrading 3550 IOS

Hi All;

I have to update 3550 IOs the current 1 is

c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-22.EA1a/c3550-i5q3l2-mz.121-22.E

Please suggest me an upgrade version and tell me after copying the new IOS in 3550 flash how will I be able to boot the 3550 with new IOS and I have seen new IOS on cisco website but how do i know which 1 I have and which 1 to upgrade all the IOS are in tar format so how to copy them in flash directly or extracr them plz help me out

Can you capture the output of "show version" and post it here so that we can see the amount of DRAM and FLASH of your 3550?

However, the latest version for C3550 EMI IOS IMAGE AND WEB BASED DEVICE MANAGER is 12.1.22-EA8a (ED)

The file is c3550-i5q3l2-tar.121-22.EA8a.tar which requires 64MB DRAM and 16MB FLASH to install.

These are some of the latest images for the 3550 (all images require 16mb flash/64mb RAM):

IP SERVICES -> c3550-ipservicesk9-mz.12.2-25.SEE3.bin

IP SERVICES W/O CRYPTO -> c3550-ipservices-mz.12.2-25.SEE3.bin
