Using java to configure 6509

I have a 6509 running two 720(ws-sup7203b) blades and two copper 48 port blades (ws-x6148a-ge-tx)

When i try to use the cisco web device manager i get a java.lang.null.pointer error and cant use it.

This is from 3 types of browser and any combination of java i can find.

On any machine i cannot use the device manager.

The os is 12.2

Does anyone have any idea about this?

You are using CVDM on this switch. If you have 12.2(18)SXF on this switch, then you are most likely hitting CSCsc10956. You will need to open a TAC service request, and get the patch for this bug.

It wont let me do this, apparently my user name and password wont allow me to raise it.

Then you should try calling the TAC to open the service request. This is currently the only way to obtain this patch. The contact numbers can be found at http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/687/Directory/DirTAC.shtml .
