What governs LINK UPDOWN Messages

Hello,

I see that I receive a lot of syslog messages with different severities for LINK_x_UPDOWN, where x may typically be 3 or 6.

If I knew how these severities are governed, I could filter out unwanted updown messages.

Is there a way to configure this, or does anybody know if there is a way to differ syslog messages based on trunk vs access ports for instance ?

just go and configure on a per interface basis
    "no logging event link-status"
on those interfaces from which you do NOT want to receive these type of messages (i.e. end-user ports)
