Currently we use whats up gold to monitor the network. Basically we poll (ping) devices to check for connectivity every 30 sec or so. Also we can set dependencies on polling so if distrubution switch goes down we done get the switches behind it alerting us.
I noticed on the Network Topology map I have had a device I was working on go red. It is back up (still red on map though) but I don't understand how to adjust the polling.
Is that done through Fault Manager? And I have created user groups of devices in campus manager, what is a group in fault manager?

The polling timer for Campus Manager is two hours be default. That can be adjusted under Campus Manager > Admin > Campus Data Collection > Schedule Data Collection.

Is the best practice setting 2 hours... Or if i polled every minute is this going to cause me any problems. we have around 130 devices.

Every minute will not work. Campus Manager is not a fault management application. For 130 devices, I would go no lower than 15 minutes.
