Which PI is better for Wireless, 1.4 or 2.0?

Simple question:- Which Prime Infrastructure is best for managing a Cisco wireless solution, Version 1.4 or 2.0?

Of course 2.0 version is new and hav many other features which PI 1.2 dont have.

As per my exp....PI 2.0 is bit slow then PI 1.2.

A senior Wireless technical guy at Cisco just emailed me the following

PI 1.4 is needed to manage the software features of controller version 7.5
(with a tiny bump-up called 1.4.1 for 7.6).  The hardware introduced in 7.5 works
in 1.4 and the hardware introduced in 7.6 works in 1.4.1. PI 2.0 goes as far as 7.4’s
wireless features, but a similar bump-up to 2.0.1 will manage the hardware of 7.5 and 7.6.
So it’s not a complete no-no, the newly released hardware will work, just not the newest
controller features yet.

PI 2.0 brings in most of the switch management functionality from LMS.

And then PI 2.1 next April or thereabouts merges everything back together and also
introduces support for the 8.0 wireless software.

So there is a Hobson’s Choice for a few more months of whether wireless or wired
management is more important just now.
