why the CiscoWorks IOS repository cannot updated?

I get the following exemption thrown when trying to update the IOS database in CiscoWorks:

Exception thrown from TreeGenerator class  
com.cisco.nm.rmeng.swim.ui.helpers.JobDetailsTreeGenerator  
Exception is java.lang.NullPointerException

anyone knows what is happening?

What version of RME do you have?  Post a screenshot of this error along with the NMSROOT/MDC/tomcat/logs/stdout.log and stderr.log.

RME 4.3.0

I think the problem is related to the following messages:

in stdout.log:

AT ACTIONFORM NO LOG null - null - null
java.text.ParseException: org.xml.sax.SAXException: Stopping after fatal error: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xa0) was found in the element content of the document.

in swim_debug.log:

[ Thu Apr 08  09:00:37 COT 2010 ],ERROR,[TP-Processor22],com.cisco.nm.rmeng.swim.slim.SynchReportXMLParser,beginParse,171,org.xml.sax.SAXException: Stopping after fatal error: An invalid XML character (Unicode: 0xa0) was found in the element content of the document.
