Hi Betong,

Does the wireless network use DHCP for connecting clients. If so, it should be trivial to configure the default gateway option which will allow connecting wireless clients access to the internet.

Is the server on the wired network on the same subnet as the wired workstation? If so, the workstation should be able to use ARP to communicate with the server. If the server resides on a different subet, with both connected to the same router then the routers SVI should be used as the gateway IP for the workstation. Again DHCP would normally be used for this.

You could also use static routes on the workstation as a last resort. Is the workstation Linux or Windows? Can you provide the output of either:

ipconifg /all

..or..

ifconfig

cheers,

Seb.

hi seb_rupik

i found out that the network that has internet uses both wired and wireless connections, and also uses dhcp, and an access point is also connected to this network for the wireless clients on the other office, we use cisco wireless router for this network that has internet

and the other network that we use for our office network and connected to a server uses only wired connections and uses dhcp also

clients need to use both internet and server connection simultaneously as required by our job

it seems that there are conflicts, when connected to office server the internet connection drops, and when about 2 0r 3 clients are connected to the net others cant make it,

ill try try to post the output of ipconfig

thank you very much
