I'm trying to configure a SPAN monitor session on a 7606 router.
interface GigabitEthernet3/7
description to IDS01 SPAN Port
no ip address
speed 1000
duplex full
switchport
switchport trunk allowed vlan 4,5
switchport mode trunk
spanning-tree portfast trunk
at this point my interface show up/up.
after I applied the below monitor session.
monitor session 2 source interface Po3
monitor session 2 filter vlan 4 - 5
monitor session 2 destination interface Gi3/7
My G3/7 show up/down. The IDS is plug into G3/7, showed up/down as well.
Would like to understand why i'm getting an interface of up/down.
OH, the 7606 is using SXD3.
