New IPSM Releases in 3Q?

I heard new IPSM will be released in 3Q.

if released, software code wil be upgraded?

Not sure which product you are talking about but there were sevarl new products released that are services modules designed to enhance IPS functions and performance.

- ISR, the new seurity enhanced routers, were released with IPS service module acceleration

- ASA was with the SSM cards that allow you to run IPS 5.0 code.

- new IPS appliances

- IPS module for the cat 6k called IDSM2. Well maybe that wasn't so new, but it runs IPS 5.0 which is a huge difference over the 4.x code base.

The new IPSM is the upgraded version of IDSM-2.(new hardware version)
