OnPlus Portal not loading devices

Hi All,

     I am getting issues with the devices loading on the Portal. On one of our customers, you click on there account and it loads the screen, but i get no loading data progress bar and the Attached error.

All the other customers are fine, the heartbeat reports up, I can see alerts and reports, but no devices, the same happens for the rest of the office and we get the same from a remote site, so that rules out the proxy. and I have leared my cache and used 3 different browsers

Anyone else experincing Issues? anyone any Ideas?

I have reported to SBSC, biut by the time the 2nd/3rd line team in CA get involved, it might take a while.

OnPlus Portal not loading devices

I just checked 9 different sites and they're all working fine.  I know it may be overkill, but do you have the smartphone or tablet app and if so, have you checked via that app to see if you're seeing the same behavior?

same issue from My Nexus 7 and S3 and my collgue on his shiny apple boxes.

OnPlus Portal not loading devices

Hi Pete(r), do both offices use proxies (or the same proxy)? Wondering if you could check this customer from a network that doesn't use a similar proxy.

Proxy and proxyless still the same issue, The remote site is straight out of our datacentre kit and the on-plus box in there gives no issues. tried from 3 diffent networks, via Mobile web and apps, no changes. I am inclided to think it is either the ON100 or the Backend supporting this site. Like I said all my other customers work fine.

we shall have to see what the L2/L3 teams come back with

The only thing that would lead me away from the ON100 potentially being the issue is that Peter should still see all the devices at last discovery, even if the ON100 isn't checking in.

Peter,

My comment to Mike is based on the assumption that these are not new ON100 installs and that the sites previously had devices discovered and listed.  Is that all correct?

OnPlus Portal not loading devices

This has been in for a good while, and i can talk to the ON100 direct, the portal show the Heartbeat is up, an i am still getting alerts from it. Just cant see the devices to make changes, I need to add some more monitors.

But nothing showing on the portal, or apps. Not even a previous version of Topo or device list.

Hi Peter,

The image you posted depicts a communications problem between the flash movie in the web browser and the portal over TCP port 12330. Because you are able to access other customers from the same browser, this is unlikely due to a blocked TCP port, more likely it's an authentication issue on the OnPlus portal side. I'm checking now with the engineer responsible for this part of OnPlus to help investigate from our side. Can you please PM me the problematic customer name, or unicast it to me at mikhollo@cisco.com?

Following up here in the community for posterity. This issue may ultimately be related to the rather high device count in this particular customer network. I know that no official upper-limit of devices has ever been stated for OnPlus, but due to flash movie timeouts while loading the data, and based on what Peter is seeing here, I expect things to start breaking at somewhere over 100 pages worth of devices when in list-view. On these type of large networks, you'll probably want to periodically clean out devices that have disappeared from the network for an extended duration.
