Can't clear PM stats

I am trying to clear PM stats on a DS3XM12 card and I keep getting the EID-3222 message "could not clear stats". I am on REL 7.0.0. What can I do to resolve this??

The command to clear the statistics are

Type: clear counters

Press ENTER a couple of times

did you try using tl1?

This seems to be a bug with 454 sw. I think you should check release notes, or request TAC support. Cisco should provide a path of this issue.
