I am sorry if this topic has been up before. I am rather short on time so I need to get this cleared asap. I wonder if the 1000BASE-LX work with the 1000BASE-LH GBIC? Unfortuneatly the devices are remote so I don't have anything more to go on than the "show interface status and show idprom" (IOS 12.1). They should be interconnected by single mode cables - distance approx. 1,5 km.
In the worst of cases I've an SFP with GLC-LH-SM that I could replace the 1000BASE-LX module with (if it isn't the same?). Although it would take me 2 hours to get there. ..
