Re: DWDM

Cisco has a wide range of DWDM products in its COMET portfolio for various applications (metropolitan, long-haul, etc.), with a channel count from 32 to more than 120 wavelengths.

You can find a comprehensive literature on all Cisco DWDM products at this URL:

Re: DWDM

Here are the major DWDM devices out there and the number of wavelengths they support (wavelengths numbers below are fully protected):

Metro DWDM:

Ciena's Multiwave Metro = 24 wavelengths

Alcatel's 1696 = 32 wavelengths

Nortel's 5200 = 32 wavelengths

ONI's Online 7000/9000 = 33 wavelengths

Cisco's 15454 = 32 wavelengths

Redback's SmartEdge 800 = 32 wavelengths

Sycamore's SN8000 = 22 wavelengths

Most of these vendors also provide long-haul DWDM products as well. You can find more information on their web sites.
