Hi there,
I am very new to SDH and I have some questions over it.
I have a 7206VXR router with an E1 serial connection to the SDH network running on 2.5Gb fibre core.
Is it a common solution out there that timeslots from one E1 connection can be shared over a few connections in the SDH ring? E.g. 1-2 timeslots for first CPE, 3-4 timeslots for CPE 2 and so on?
Thanks in advance.

Absolutely. That is a very common scenario. You would create different channel-groups on the E1s on the 7206 to terminate connections to different devices at the other end.
Such a thing is commonly practised by both providers and enterprises who buy DDS-type services.
Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.
