Packet Over Sonet POS Config

I'm trying to bring up a POS interface with the provider. My side is a 7200. The interface is currently up/down. When the provider put a loop facing me. I could ping my interface with no errors. Any thoughts? What questions can I ask the provider to verify the config on both their side and mine. Can the provider look at the circuit and see what parameters are being sent by each side?

For the troubleshoot the interface check whether the configuration for the both side is ok or what.
