Perils of building a circuit

Hello all,

I have a question on building a circuit through CTC on an ONS15454 chassis.

Is it possible to build a circuit incorrectly, and if this happens, will it disrupt the network?  I was reading on the process of doing this, and it seems like you can create a circuit between two ONS nodes, and CTC is intelligent enough to know what you can and cannot do while building this circuit.

Any insight will be helpful and\or if someone can point me in the right direction, that would be great.

Thanks!

Jim

When you create circuite system check is there are way, if patchcording is ok it will create it and then all amplifiers will be corrected by feature Automatic Power Control (APC). It mean that if power will not enof for new one channel it will add it to some amplifiers.

If you have new channel in CTP design before you implement your network it will be fine, if you would like to add circuite after you plan in CTP feauture APC will add power and it could add some OSNR to other channels. I recomed you add channels in maintanens window.
