Can STM 16 interface on my ONS connect to another optical equipment with STM4 interface?

You can't directly attach a STM16 interface to a STM4 interface over the same fiber. But, if your ONS 15454 is equipped with a STM4 interface card, then the STM4 payload can be mapped onto the STM16 interface.

Thank you for your reply, someone also told me that it will not work, STM4 need to connect to another STM4 over the same FOC.

The scenario that we have on ground is:
