Trunking accross the core

I having a difficult time wrapping my mind around the reasoning fo choosing not to trunk accross the core of a standard architecture network (core, distrubution, access). Could one of you break it down for me, I understand you want to isolate as much traffic away from your core as possible...

You will likely find a network design engineer your best source for this type of information. Your local Cisco office should be able to assist you in this regard. To locate your local Cisco representative, visit http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/687/Directory.shtml
