how to add IP communicator in cm502

Now I want to add IP communicator(2.0.0.1) in ccm502, but I find in the IP communicator Phone Configuration web, I can't set MAC of my PC. I set MAC in Device Name, but the IP communicator can't register.

Help !

Is your IP communicator using Security profile? Remember that Security is not supported in 2.0.1

In the preferences option of the ip communicator you can see in the network tab that the phone is registering via the mac address. Simply check the devicename radio button and put a name for that phone, the same will be in ccm 5.2

Pepe is correct.

Verify the name in the IP Communicator program (on the user's PC) is the same as the name entered into Call Manager.

Since you are using the MAC Address, make sure they both contain the MAC Address.
