how to make test calls?

[study_voip]

two Cisco 1760 routers (R1 and R2) have the following configuration

VWIC-1MFT-T1

FXS

FXO

WIC-1T

FastEthernet

I have

*all kind of back2back cables to connect the two routers

*Call Manager 4.1x

*Gatekeeper

*Asterisk SIP Server

my question is

how can I make a test call with different combined options?

like phone1 (#111) on R1 FXS port can call phone2 (#222) on R2 FXS port (may via 1MFT T1 or FXO or IP)

You can use the hidden command.

csim start phonenumber

ex. csim start 915555555555

This would call from the router though and wouldn't test from say FXS 1 to FXS 2. It's really used to test connectivity in/out and make sure all call setup is done. You hear dead air on the phone picking up.
