Local SIP calls in G.729r8

Hello all,

Can any one tell me if is possible to do call’s in G729r8, between local SIP phones register to a CME?

I’m running a LAB with the following equipment and versions:

Router: 3845

IOS: 12.4(4)T1 feature set: IP VOICE

CME: 3.4

Phones: 7960 e 7940

SIP Firmware: 7.4

All versions are compliant according to Cisco.

Everything works fine if I use G.711, but if I use G729r8, is not possible to make calls. I receive the following message from the debugs “No voice codec and no dtmf-relay match”.

I have the config as simple as can be, to register phones and make calls (it works in g711), as you can see:

I had the same problem and i think you are hiting the CSCsc16795 "g729r8 interop issue with IP phones".

I resolve my problem,with an upgrade to firmware of the phones to version 8.2.

Thanks for your help. After the upgrade to 8.2 it's now possible to do local sip call's in g728.

Which version of CME did you use?

I am using CME 3.4

with

7905 Firmware CP7905010200SIP040406A

local calls in g711 always

g729 doesnt work

In vhich version CME, 8.2 comes

I have the same problem,

But in my case, IP Phones are located with WAN connections. Even with G711 codec, it doesn't work.

7905 IP Telephone

CCME 3.4

How can I download versin 8.2?
